Edited clip from The Twilight Zone "Where is Everybody?"  I unfortunately couldn't find a solid clip from this episode, but I'm really inspired by the actors performance in this episode.  At the end you can really see the desperation to find a single person, both physically and emotionally.

I appreciate this scene from Blade Runner 2049 because of the set design.  This small room Ryan Reynolds is in is just dirty and grimy, but it somehow tells a story and adds to the world.  Of course there's also the added influence in these scenes of a clearly emotional being speaking to a faceless machine who does not understand emotion.

Another scene from Blade Runner 2049. I think this costume design in the scene is particularly interesting.  I really like how every single background character is wearing something unique, it breathes life into the world.

A clip from Brazil. I chose this scene for two reasons.  One, I think it's a great example of how absurd and fanciful you can make a world and still comment on society. Two, it teaches you that even if you're working in a bleak dystopian setting it doesn't mean that you always have to take yourself so seriously.

This is a clip from The Fifth Element.  I mentioned in my directors statement that I love how the actors in this film can physically interact with their environment.  It's packed with a high level of detail that adds so much more context to everything.
